  CITIZEN PATROL

   The Camarillo Citizen Patrol is  a     community crime prevention     program exercising proactive     law enforcement principles.  The     program is designed to provide     supplemental detection and     reporting of suspicious persons     or activities to the Camarillo     Police Department.  The Citizen     Patrol program is composed of     civilian  volunteers, age 21 and     above, who are residents of the     City of Camarillo or its outlying     areas, that desire to interact with     and serve the community.

EXPLORER PROGRAM

   Law Enforcement Exploring is an    exciting way for young men and    women to explore the dynamic    field of law enforcement.  As an    Explorer you will participate in the    following functions: patrol    ride- alongs, community service,    traffic control, station work, and    law enforcement related    competitions.  If you are between    the ages of 14 and 20 years old,    maintain a 2.0 GPA in school,    and have a good driving record,    you may be eligible to become a    Law Enforcement Explorer.

D.A.R.T.

  The Disaster Assistance    response Team (D.A.R.T.) is a    group of highly  trained local    citizen volunteers.  D.A.R.T.    members participate in ongoing    training with various emergency    services such as the Ventura    County Fire Department, Ventura    County Sheriff’s Department, and    the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue     teams.
