The Ojai station provides full-service policing to approximately 30,000 residents of the Ojai Valley. Included in this population is the City of Ojai which contracts with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department for Police Services.
In the spirit of community policing, the station provides a variety of unique policing strategies. Mounted deputies and deputies on bicycles are a common sight in the City. Additionally, the Ojai Valley has been characterized by a high degree of volunteerism and utilizes a volunteer program to do those many jobs that deputies no longer have time to perform.
