On September 3, 2014, at approximately 6:32 PM, patrol deputies, the Thousand Oaks Police Special Enforcement Unit and Detectives responded to a large gang related fight in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue in the City of Thousand Oaks.  The Ventura County Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to the scene and treated Navarro for a stab wound to his abdomen.  Navarro was transported to Los Robles Hospital where he immediately went into surgery for his injuries.  Navarro is still admitted at Los Robles Hospital and he is in stable condition.      


The investigation revealed the suspect, Jerver Munoz, is a documented Thousand Oaks gang member.  On September 4, 2014, at approximately 5:40 PM, the Special Enforcement Unit located and arrested Munoz as he was walking on Los Robles Road in the City of Thousand Oaks.  At approximately 6:00 PM, the Special Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at Munoz' residence in the 100 Block of Manzanita Lane in the City of Thousand Oaks. 


Munoz was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for Penal Code sections 245(a) ' Assault with a Deadly Weapon with bail amount $20,000.  Munoz is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on September 8, 2014, at 1:30 PM.
