On 9/16/14, at about 1233 hours, Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Police Department's Investigations Bureau located a stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Goldsmith Avenue and Drayton Avenue.  While attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the driver, identified as (S) Drue Powell, failed to stop and led deputies on a short vehicle pursuit through the City of Thousand Oaks.  The vehicle pursuit ended in the area of Avenida De Las Flores and Lynn Road when the driver entered a dead-end street and exited the vehicle.  Powell was taken into custody and found to be in possession of illegal narcotics and stolen property.


The vehicle had been reported stolen from a local dealership on 9/8/14. Powell was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail for possessing a stolen vehicle, felony evading, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
