Over the past 4-5 weeks, there has been a large increase in thefts of property taken from front yards of homes in the Thousand Oaks area. The property stolen has been lawn decorations that range from large concrete statues to simple lawn ornaments. There has been well over 20 reported thefts within the past 4- 5 weeks, most of which are occurring in the middle of the night.

Security footage from one crime shows an unidentifiable male and female (possibly blonde) driving up to a residence in a mid- size car and stealing the lawn décor. The crimes have recently extended into the City of Camarillo and it is unknown if the two suspects seen in the video are responsible for all the similar crimes.

Thousand Oaks Police is asking for the public's help in identifying anyone they feel may be connected to the crimes, or anyone they may have recently seen possessing these unique items. Additionally, we ask the public to not hesitate to report any suspicious subjects to police.
