Narcotics Investigators Arrest Suspect for Possession for Sales of Heroin in Santa Paula

After receiving information that Joseph Paz was selling narcotics from his residence in Santa Paula, investigators arrested Paz for possession of heroin for sale.


In August of this year, narcotics detectives received information that Joseph Paz was selling narcotics from his residence in the 300 block of South Steckel Dr. within the City of Santa Paula.  On September 25, detectives from the Sheriff's Narcotics Bureau, Santa Paula Police Department and Oxnard Police Department conducted surveillance of Paz. Paz was contacted by detectives in the City of Ventura and found to be in possession of 37 bindles of heroin. He was arrested for possession of heroin for sale. A search warrant was served at Paz' residence, no additional narcotics were discovered.


Paz listed bail is $50,000.00. The estimated street value of the heroin is $740.00.


The West County Street Team is made up of Sheriff's Office and Santa Paula Police Department narcotics detectives working cooperatively in the investigation of narcotics offenses occurring in the western portion of Ventura County.
