On Saturday January 17, 2015, the Camarillo Police Department partnered with Leisure Village Security for the fourth time, to collect unused / expired prescription medication from residents of the village.  The collection time was from 10:00 AM ' 3:00 PM and 119 pounds of unused / expired medication was collected in just five hours' time. This was the largest one day collection at Leisure Village, since the Camarillo Police Department started its first prescription Rx collection in December of 2012.  During the first three collections, a total of 305 pounds of unused / expired prescription medication was collected bringing the overall total to 424 pounds. The Camarillo Police Department would like to thank the residents of Leisure Village and Leisure Village Security for their help in making our community a safer one.
