Narrative:

On October 16, 2015, the Thousand Oaks Police Department arrested two suspects for thefts from vehicles occurring within the City of Thousand Oaks.

 

On October 16, 2015, at about 4:00 AM, an alert Thousand Oaks citizen noticed two suspicious male subjects walking around a local neighborhood.  The citizen reported the suspicious activity to the Thousand Oaks Police Department who responded and contacted the two male subjects, later identified as Anthony Engle and Christopher Mullins. Both subjects were in possession of stolen property and were connected to a series of thefts from vehicles that had occurred in the area.

 

Mullins and Engle were subsequently arrested for numerous charges, including theft from a vehicle, prowling, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit a crime, and vandalism. They were both booked into the Ventura County Jail.  Each suspect's bail was set at $20,000.

 

The Thousand Oaks Police Department would like to remind its citizens to ensure their vehicles are locked and secure when parked in an effort to prevent thefts. Additionally, the Thousand Oaks Police Department urges its citizens to report any suspicious activity to police.
