On Saturday, December 5th, 2015, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Ventura County Sheriff's Foundation to provide 'Shop with a Cop' to selected children residing in the areas patrolled by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office. On the day of the event 65 children nominated by deputies and local community programs will join Sheriff's deputies for this shopping experience. Each child will be provided with a $ 100.00 Target gift card and partnered with a sheriff deputy to share this shopping experience. This is the fourth year the Ventura County Sheriff's Office has held 'Shop with a Cop.' This program allows children who may not otherwise have an opportunity to celebrate Christmas an opportunity to have a Merry Christmas, while also developing a positive relationship with law enforcement. This program is supported by contributions from the Ventura County Sheriff's Foundation.

Members of the media and public are encouraged to attend. Participants will meet outside of the Camarillo Target at 9:00 am on Saturday, December 5th. Sheriff's deputies will be arriving shortly after by motorcade to partner with the selected children. All officers participating in this event are volunteering their personal time.
