Narrative:

Information on suspected prostitution activity led to the arrest of Jennifer Whitman for engaging and agreeing to engage in prostitution, keeping a house of ill-fame, keeping a disorderly house, and possession of a controlled substance.

On January 15, 2016, Whitman solicited a detective working in an undercover capacity for a sex act in exchange for money.  Whitman also openly advertised herself on the internet for acts of prostitution.  At about 9:00 PM, detectives executed a search warrant on Whitman inside of a residence in the 100 block of San Fernando Avenue in the unincorporated area of Oxnard known as Silver Strand.  During the service of the search warrant, paraphernalia related to prostitution, indicia of prostitution and controlled substances were located.  Evidence located during this investigation supported that Whitman was utilizing a bedroom in this residence for prostitution on a regular basis.

The West County Street Team is made up of Sheriff's Office, Santa Paula Police Department, and the Oxnard Police Department detectives working cooperatively in the investigation of narcotics and vice offenses occurring in the western portion of Ventura County.
