The Ventura County Sheriff's / Moorpark Police Department Explorer Post #2912

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office / Moorpark Police Department and McDonalds are hosting a fundraiser for the Moorpark Explorer Post.  The Moorpark Explorer Post is a volunteer organization associated with The Boy Scouts of America that provides opportunities for male and female youth between the ages of 14 and 21 years of age to serve their communities while learning valuable life lessons.  The Moorpark McDonalds, located on the corner of LA Avenue and Spring Road, has graciously agreed to donate 20% of its sales of those who provide the attached flyer.  This offer is for dine-in-only patrons.

Although this program is a voluntary organization, there are costs associated with participation.  One hundred percent of your contributions will be used to enhance the program, while ensure that anyone who wants to participate is afforded the opportunity.  The funds generated will be used to provide opportunities for participation in competitive events, supplement purchasing of equipment and uniforms, and support the Post during operations.

The Goals and Objectives of Explorer programs are to teach youth about the functions of law enforcement, build self-confidence, develop maturity, develop leadership qualities, while teach explorers how to handle emergencies and about the community and public relations.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Explorer program is encouraged to participate in this fundraiser where they will have the opportunity to meet and speak to current Explorers and their Law Enforcement Advisors or contact one of the Moorpark Police Department Explorer Advisors through Valerie Zavala at the Moorpark Police Department (805) 532-2700.
