On September 09, 2015, deputies assigned out of the Moorpark Police Station responded to the 3300 block of Cajon Circle for a home invasion robbery that just occurred.  Upon their arrival they learned the suspects entered the victim's residence in the early morning hours, tied up the victim, and stole an undisclosed about of cash and personal property.

Detectives from different units with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office worked continuously on the case, which led them to several addresses in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.  Search warrants served at the residences uncovered evidence of additional criminal activity.  Stolen vehicles and evidence of a chop shop were discovered at a residence in Sylmar where Hansen previously resided, and two illegally possessed firearms were confiscated from another of Hansen's prior residences.

The robbery investigation uncovered evidence of the home invasion robbery which led to the arrest of William Hansen for first degree robbery.  The case was presented to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.  After reviewing the case, the District Attorney's Office elected to file one count of first degree robbery against William Hansen.  He is currently in custody at the Main Jail and his bail is set at $200,000.00 dollars.
