On August 10, 2016, Camarillo Patrol deputies responded to a 'hot prowl' burglary in progress and arrested three suspects.

On August 10, 2016, at 3:57 A.M., residents in the 1700 block of Calle Tierra Vista reported seeing subjects with flashlights in their backyard.  Camarillo patrol deputies arrived to the location within minutes and contacted Juliet Marcos sitting in a vehicle in front of the residence.  While the deputy was contacting Marcos, Jesus Fabian stepped out of the driver's seat of a car parked down the street.  This vehicle belongs to another victim in the neighborhood.

Deputies determined both Marcos and Fabian were suspects and secured them in handcuffs and placed them in the back seat of two separate patrol cars.  A short time later a third suspect, Zuniga, was observed running up the street towards the deputies.  The deputies chased and eventually captured Zuniga a short distance away. As this occurred, Fabian kicked the window out of the patrol vehicle he was secured.  He was able to flee the area by running through several residential backyards.

A patrol K9 unit, the sheriff's helicopter and several detectives responded to the location and quickly set up a perimeter.  The sheriff's helicopter was able to locate Fabian hiding in brush, with the use of FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared Radar), and directed the K9 unit and deputies to his location where he was arrested without incident.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Zuniga entered a second occupied home, but he was scared off after the homeowner confronted him. There were no injuries reported by any of the victims.

Zuniga, Marcos and Fabian were arrested and booked for conspiracy and burglary.  Zuniga was also charged with the second burglary. Additional charges for Fabian included resisting arrest and vandalism to the police car.  They were all booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and their bail has not yet been set. The investigation is ongoing.
