On 8-11-16, at about 11:30 P.M., officers assigned to the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to the Mobil Gas Station located at 942 S. Westlake Boulevard for an armed robbery that had just occurred.


The investigation revealed a male suspect entered the gas station convenience store and approached the victim (lone employee) standing behind the service counter. The suspect displayed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the employee.  The employee backed away from the suspect before the suspect opened the cash register and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspect left the location in a silver compact sedan.


The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'7" to 6' tall and 140 to 160 lbs. The suspect was wearing a white and red baseball cap, light colored shirt, dark pants and shoes. The suspect wore a bandana on the lower part of his face in an effort to conceal his identity. The suspect has tattoos covering his entire left arm.  


No persons were injured as a result of the robbery. The suspect is still outstanding. Detectives are requesting the public look closely at the attached surveillance photographs.
