On Saturday, August 20th, 2016, Sheriff's detectives conducted compliance checks at the residences of thirty seven (37) registered sex offenders throughout the City and County areas of Fillmore, Ojai, Thousand Oaks, and Moorpark. The compliance checks were part of the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE / ELEAS) Grant.


Thirty five (35) of the registrants were verified to be in compliance with their registration requirements. One (1) registrant, Robert Chrysler (Age 58) was located in the Ojai area and was found to be out of compliance. He was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail for the felony offense of failing to report he had moved. Another (1) registrant was not located because he had moved. Sheriff's detectives will follow-up to determine if this registrant is out of compliance.


The Ventura County Sheriff's Office will be conducting similar sweeps on an ongoing basis to verify that registered sex offenders are living at their reported residences and in compliance with any probation or parole terms.
