The Ventura County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the additional test date for Deputy Sheriff Trainee on Saturday, January 21, 2017. The Ventura County Sheriff's Office is also announcing the launch of a new website specifically for recruitment purposes 


On October 24, 2016, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Human Resources and Recruitment Unit are launching a new website specifically focused on recruiting efforts for all positions within the Sheriff's Office.  This new website can be found at or by visiting the Sheriff's Internet site and selecting 'Employment' under the tab for 'Careers and Volunteers'. The focus of the website is to demonstrate the benefits and opportunities one may enjoy with a Ventura County Sheriff's Office career path. There are many photos and videos demonstrating the professionalism, varying assignments, and diversity of the members of our Sheriff's Office family. We focused on presenting the benefits of a career with the Sheriff's Office in a rich media platform with many images and some video. Anyone interested with employment can contact a recruiter through the website and complete on online job application.


Additionally, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office has added a new test date for the written examination and physical agility test for January 21, 2017. We are also providing study guides and clinics to assist first time applicants on a pathway to success within the hiring process. There will be a physical agility clinic available this January prior to the new test date. Once an application has been submitted, applicants will be notified by e-mail with an invitation to the physical agility clinic and given instructions on how to obtain a study guide for the written test.
