On 11/20/2016, during the early morning hours, deputies from Camarillo patrol station responded to a shooting on Nancy Street, which is located in the unincorporated area of Camarillo.  On arrival, deputies contacted an adult victim who reported being shot at by an unidentified suspect.  Deputies also located evidence confirming that a shooting had taken place.  Detectives with the Camarillo Station, Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED), and the Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau responded and initiated an investigation into the shooting.  Through the investigation, it was discovered that the victim's vehicle was struck several times in addition to a nearby residence. 

Over the course of the investigation, detectives identified (S) Devin Sinegal of Northridge as the suspect involved in the shooting.  Devin Sinegal is an active participant of a criminal street gang based out of the county of Los Angeles. 

On 12/04/2016, Devin Sinegal was arrested by officers of the Inglewood Police Department on unrelated charges.  Evidence related to the Nancy Street shooting was located by Inglewood Police Officers at the time of Sinegal's arrest.

On 12/06/2016, members of the Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau, Camarillo SED, Thousand Oaks SED, and the Sheriff's Narcotics Bureau executed a search warrant at Sinegal's residence in Northridge while he was in custody on the unrelated Inglewood matter.  Additional evidence pertaining to the shooting was found during the search.

On 12/21/2016, members of the Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau and Camarillo SED worked with the Inglewood Police Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to make contact with Sinegal, who was out of custody on bond.  Sinegal was contacted by detectives at the Inglewood Courthouse and arrested.

Ultimately, Sinegal was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of attempted murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, felon in possession of a firearm with prior violent crime conviction, unlawful firearm transfer, felon in possession of ammunition, street terrorism, and commission of a crime for the benefit of the gang.

Sinegal was transported to the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility where he was booked for the aforementioned felonious offenses.  He is currently in custody with a $500,000 bail amount.  His next court appearance will be on 12/23/2016.
