Early Saturday morning, the Ventura County Sheriff Office Search And Rescue crews continued efforts to locate the person swept away by swift water on Friday, February 17, 2017.


At 8:45 a.m., a Sheriff's rescue helicopter and swift water rescuers located a deceased adult male in a remote area of the Arroyo Conejo Creek in Thousand Oaks.  The recovery efforts will take several hours.  The identity of the subject is unknown and additional information will be provided when available. 


Residents are reminded the Conejo Valley trails and creeks are closed due to flood conditions. 'Remember turn around don't drown.'
