Four suspects were arrested for committing an armed robbery of the 7-Eleven convenience store in Newbury Park.

On December 27, 2016, at about 8:15PM, four suspects entered the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 3309 Kimber Dr. in Newbury Park. One suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk, while the other three suspects stole merchandise and cash from the register.  All suspects fled the location in a dark colored sedan.

In January 2017, Burbank Police Detectives arrested one adult and two juvenile suspects in connection with an armed robbery of Little Caesars Pizza in Burbank.  Burbank Detectives served a search warrant at one of the suspect's residence in North Hollywood and located additional evidence including a handgun believed to have been used in the Little Caesars robbery.  As Burbank Detectives continued their investigation, additional evidence was discovered which possibly linked the suspects to the robbery of the 7-Eleven in Newbury Park.

Thousand Oaks Police Department major crimes detectives collaborated with Burbank Police detectives and through an extensive investigation were able to connect all three suspects to the 7-Eleven robbery in Newbury Park.  The fourth suspect was also identified and arrested.

The adult male suspect, Carlos Ramirez, was arrested for robbery and booked in the Ventura County Main Jail. The three juvenile suspects were arrested for robbery and booked into Juvenile Hall.
