Deputy Cyrus Zadeh




The Moorpark Police Department is proud to announce Deputy Cyrus Zadeh as the 2011 Moorpark Officer of the Year.  The Rotary Club of Moorpark, which sponsors this award, will be honoring Deputy Zadeh during a luncheon at noon on March 23, 2012, at the Moorpark Country Club. 

Deputy Zadeh was selected as the 'Officer of the Year' due to his qualities of outstanding teamwork, great attitude, professionalism, and technical skills.  He joined the Ventura County Sheriff's Office in 2004.  After graduation from the Sheriff's Academy, he was assigned to work in the Detention Services Division.  He transferred to the Moorpark Patrol Station in March 2010.  In the two years he has been assigned to patrol, he has learned quickly and worked diligently to serve his community with a high standard of excellence.

Cyrus has been described by his peers and supervisors as a team player who has made many quality arrests, the perfect balance between a problem solver and crime fighter, as well as a well rounded patrol officer who strives for the success of others around him.
