When deputies arrived on scene, the unoccupied vehicle was in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church parking lot.  Deputies confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen on 3/14/2017 from the Meiners Oaks area.  Deputies observed known Ojai transient, Wyatt Revard, enter the vehicle and drive away from the location.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on El Conejo Drive in Meiners Oaks.

Revard was arrested for VC 10851, unlawful taking of a vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a silver laptop.  After further investigation, it was determined the laptop was stolen from a vehicle in Ojai on 2/23/2017.

Revard was charged with PC 496 (A), receiving stolen property.

Revard was booked into the Ventura County Jail and is currently in custody on the felony and misdemeanor charges.  Revard's bail was set at $30,000.

The stolen vehicle and laptop were returned to their owners.

Revard was arrested because a concerned citizen observed a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood and called law enforcement.  The Ventura County Sheriff's Office encourages citizens to report all suspicious activity seen by calling 9-1-1.
