Narrative:

On 04/05/2017, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's West County Narcotic's Team along with the Oxnard Police Department's Neighborhood Policing Team concluded a two month narcotic investigation into Oxnard resident, Rene Cervantez, who was involved in the sales of illegal narcotics to residents of Ventura County.

 

Detectives detained and arrested Cervantez at a location in El Rio. At the same time, officers from the Oxnard Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics Unit and Ventura County Sheriff's Narcotic Unit executed a signed search warrant at his residence in the 2200 block of Mono Street, Oxnard.

 

During the search of Cervantez' residence, Detectives located over 2 ounces of heroin, 3 ounces of methamphetamine, and narcotics paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales. A sum of U.S. currency from illegal narcotic sales was also seized from the residence.

 

Cervantez was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for numerous narcotic violations. His bail is set at $500,000. He is currently in custody pending bail or arraignment, which is scheduled for 04/07/17 at 1330.
