Narrative:

Camarillo Deputies have arrested the above two subjects for their involvement in an attempted robbery that occurred on Monday, 04/10/17.  The crime occurred outside the Wells Fargo Bank located at 487 Carmen Drive, Camarillo.

At about 11:40 A.M., the victim (adult female) was inside Wells Fargo conducting business.  She left the bank and went to her bicycle, which was secured outside.  The victim placed her purse in a basket on the front of the bicycle.   (A) Lee approached the victim and asked her for a cigarette.  (A) Lee then grabbed the victim's purse and attempted to take it.  The victim grabbed the purse and a struggle ensued.  As the victim and (A) Lee struggled over the victim's purse, they both fell to the ground.  (A) Lee gave up her attempt to take the victim's purse and ran to an awaiting car in which (A) Gutierrez was the driver.

Patrol deputies responded to the scene and along with detectives, they were able to gather information and evidence that identified (A) Lee.  On 04/10/17, at about 10:00 P.M., Camarillo deputies were at an unrelated disturbance call on Calle Argolla when they saw (A) Lee in a nearby car.  They recognized her from the information detectives had provided.  (A) Lee was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives continued to gather information and on 04/11/17, they contacted (A) Gutierrez and arrested her without incident.

             (A) Lee was arrested for PC 664/211 Attempted Robbery

(A)  Gutierrez was arrested for PC 32 Accessory ' Harbor, Conceal, Aid a Felon

The Camarillo Police Department would like to remind the public to always be aware of your surroundings.  In this case, the victim did a terrific job of being aware and was able to provide detailed information of the suspect's actions before and after the attempted robbery.
