Narrative:

On 04/13/2017, a robbery occurred at the Tory Burch Store located in the Camarillo Outlet Mall in Camarillo.  At about 2040 hours, a male and female entered the Tory Burch Store together.  The male, later identified as (S) Alfred Acevedo, took merchandise and fled the store while the female, later identified as (S) Alexis Burboa, acted as a look out.  As employees attempted to retrieve the merchandise, Alfred Acevedo made a threatening gesture and ordered the employee to get back, which made the employee fearful of being assaulted.  Ultimately, Alfred Acevedo escaped capture with the merchandise; however, Alexis Burboa was apprehended by responding patrol deputies as she fled the store.  Approximately $1,300 worth of merchandise was taken during the robbery.

On 04/14/2017, Alexis Burboa was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for PC 182(a)(1) ' [Conspiracy to Commit a Crime], PC 487(a) ' [Grand Theft], and PC 243(b) ' [Battery on a Peace Officer].  Later that morning, Alexis Burboa posted bail and was released from custody.

On 04/21/2017, members of the Camarillo Detective Unit, Sheriff's Gang Unit, Camarillo SED, the FBI, and Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit conducted a search warrant at Burboa's residence in Oxnard.  During the service of the warrant, Alfred Acevedo was contacted inside the residence, found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, and arrested.  Acevedo had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest.

During the warrant service, evidence linking Burboa and Acevedo to the robbery and grand theft was located.  Acevedo was additionally arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for PC 211 ' [Robbery], PC 182(a)(1) ' [Conspiracy], PC 487 ' [Grand Theft], and HS 11364.1 ' [Possession of Drug Paraphernalia].  He is currently in custody for a no bail felony warrant and pending court for the new charges with a $70,000 bail.
