On 05/03/2017, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's West County Street Narcotics Unit concluded a month long narcotic investigation into Daniel Wright by executing a search warrant at his residence in the 100 block of North 4th Street in the City of Santa Paula.


Detectives detained Wright at a location away from his residence before executing the search warrant. A search of Wright's residence by detectives led to the seizure of approximately 3 ounces of heroin, smaller amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, and Xanax pills packaged for sale. A large amount of currency deemed to be proceeds of narcotic sales as well as paraphernalia indicative of illegal narcotic sales were also seized.  In addition, a 22 caliber rifle was seized from the residence. Wright is a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning or possessing any type of firearm.


Wright was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail on narcotics and weapons violations. His bail was set at $120,000. He is currently in custody pending bail or arraignment which is scheduled for 05/05/2017 at 1:30 PM.


The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office and the Oxnard Police Department.
