Over the past several months, the Sheriff's Office Special Crimes Unit has been investigating a drug trafficking organization working in Ventura County.  The investigation led to the seizure of methamphetamine, a firearm, US currency and the arrest of Centeno.

In early 2017, detectives received information narcotics were being sold from the Santa Paula Auto Center at 1055 E. Main Street in Santa Paula.  An investigation began and it was determined the owner of the business and his close business associate were organizing shipments of methamphetamine and cocaine to the business.  The investigation revealed Centeno was supplying methamphetamine to the business that was later sold in smaller quantities to street level narcotics dealers.

On May 18, 2017 Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 Block of West Vineyard Avenue in the city of Oxnard.  During the search of the residence 2 pounds of methamphetamine, U.S. currency, a loaded firearm, scale and packaging were located.  Centeno was arrested in the 1300 Block of East Gonzalez Boulevard in the city of Oxnard.  The amount of methamphetamine seized would provide over 9,000 doses of methamphetamine to a user with a street value in excess of $90,000.00.

Centeno was arrested for possessing narcotics for sale and conspiracy.  Centeno is currently in custody with bail set at $500,000.00.
