Moorpark Police received a call of a possible felony wanted subject (Augustine Loza) located at a home in the 400 block of Second Street.  The warrant was for a felony parole violation for robbery and the subject was to be considered armed and dangerous.  Once the Deputies arrived at the home, they made several telephone calls to the home and public address requests for Loza to surrender. The surrounding residential area was blocked off from pedestrian and vehicle traffic.  After about an hour standoff in front of the house, the Sheriff's Special Weapons And Tactics Team was called along with the Tactical Negotiations Unit as a precautionary measure.

At 3:19 PM Loza voluntarily came out the front door of the residence and surrendered without further incident.  No force was necessary to take Loza into custody.  No persons were injured during this incident.
