On 07-28-17, Thousand Oaks patrol deputies contacted Erik Haumann. The deputies arrested Haumann for being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.  They also discovered Haumann was wanted by Camarillo detectives for a recent burglary.


On 07-21-17, Camarillo patrol deputies responded to a burglary where a suspect, who was later identified as Haumann, had entered an occupied recreational vehicle while the occupants were asleep. The victim awoke and confronted Haumann, who fled on foot.   The victim followed Haumann and guided responding deputies to the area the suspect was last scene. Deputies saw the suspect and attempted to contact him but he was able to avoid apprehension.   Haumann dropped items as he fled.  Those items were found to be stolen property belonging to the victim from the RV, as well as other items belonging to a victim of a commercial burglary.


Camarillo detectives began an investigation into the incident. During the investigation, they were able to identify the suspect as Erik Von Richard Haumann.  Haumann is a transient with multiple police contacts throughout the tri-counties.  


On the morning of 7-28-17, Haumann was contacted by Thousand Oaks patrol deputies in the City of Thousand Oaks. During the contact, Haumann fled from deputies and a short foot pursuit ensued. Haumann was apprehended and arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. During the arrest, Haumann was found to be in possession of additional stolen property.


Haumann was subsequently arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property in relation to the crimes committed, in the City of Camarillo.
