Narrative:

On 08/10/2017, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's West County Narcotic's Team concluded a month long narcotic investigation into Oxnard resident, Pablo Valdez, who was involved in the sales of methamphetamine and heroin to residents of Ventura County. The West County Street Team was assisted by the Oxnard Police Department's Neighborhood Policing Team and the California National Guard ' Counter Drug Task Force

 

Detectives detained and arrested Valdez during a traffic stop in the city of Oxnard, where Valdez was found to be in possession of methamphetamine for sales. A signed search warrant was then executed at Valdez' residence and storage lockers which were also located in the city of Oxnard.

 

During a search of Valdez' residence and storage lockers, Detectives located approximately 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 1 ounce of heroin, narcotics paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales and a large sum of currency deemed to be proceeds of illegal narcotic sales. In addition a rifle and numerous rounds of ammunition were also seized.

 

Valdez was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for numerous narcotic and weapon violations. He posted bail which was set at $50,000.

 

The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office and the Oxnard Police Department.
