The Camarillo Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a Child Annoying suspect.

On 8/28/ 2017, a female juvenile was walking along Arneill Street in Camarillo, when an unknown Hispanic male with a shaved head driving a blue four-door sedan asked her to get in his car. The female juvenile refused to get in and continued walking. The male in the blue vehicle, possibly a Toyota Corolla, pulled alongside the victim as she kept walking and again asked her to enter his vehicle.

The victim told the male suspect she was only 14 years old and she was not getting in the vehicle. The male suspect then attempted to lure the victim into his vehicle again by holding out some money and asking the victim a sexually motivated question. The victim continued walking and was able to contact police as the suspect drove away.

Police were able to capture a photo of the vehicle involved and that photo is being distributed along with this press release. If you have any additional information related to this crime please contact the Ventura County Sheriff's Office @ 654-9511.

The Camarillo Police Department would like to remind parents to discuss with their children what to do if the children are approached by strangers. Please talk to your children and remind them to try to walk in groups and never enter a stranger's vehicle.
