Narrative:

On 11/16/2017, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's West County Street Narcotics Unit assisted by the California National Guard Counter Drug Task Force concluded a two month narcotic investigation into Oxnard resident, Cristobal Torres-Sanchez, who was involved in the sales of methamphetamine and heroin to residents of Ventura County.

Detectives conducted traffic stops in the City of Oxnard and detained Sanchez and another individual, Luis Diego, who is suspected of assisting Sanchez with his narcotic trafficking activities. A search of Sanchez' vehicle yielded approximately 5 ounces of methamphetamine and 4 ounces of heroin. A search of Diego's vehicle revealed a digital narcotic scale.  A signed search warrant was then executed at Sanchez' residence where another 22 ounces of heroin, 10 ounces of suspected cocaine, and a small amount of methamphetamine was seized.

Sanchez was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail on numerous narcotic violations. His bail was set at $50,000. He is currently in custody pending bail or arraignment which is scheduled for 12/01/2017 at 1:30 PM. Diego was released from custody pending further investigation.

The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, the Oxnard Police Department, and the Port Hueneme Police Department.
