On November 30, 2017, a Ventura County Sheriff's deputy was injured apprehending a wanted felony suspect.


On November 30, 2017, a deputy with the Camarillo Police Department recognized a wanted felony suspect, identified as George Glass, walking on Ventura Blvd.  The deputy attempted to make contact with Glass who fled on foot on West Ventura Boulevard.  The deputy began to chase Glass, but was obstructed and delayed by Elizabeth Andrade.  Glass ran onto the 101 freeway and crossed both the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic while fleeing. 


Additional deputies responded to the area to aid in the investigation and apprehension of Glass.  Glass was located and taken into custody in an agricultural area east of Central Avenue.   Andrade, who initially fled in a vehicle, returned to the area where the foot pursuit began and was also taken into custody.  During the foot pursuit a deputy suffered a minor injury which required medical evaluation. 


Glass and Andrade were both booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility, in Ventura.  Glass was booked for PC 69, Resisting an Executive Officer and a local felony warrant for vehicle theft and evading an officer.  Glass' bail was set at $30,000.  Andrade was booked for PC 69, Resisting an Executive Officer, with bail set at $10,000.
