Camarillo - Repeat Offender Arrested for Burglary

Narrative:

On 12/13/17, Detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED) arrested Allyson

Byron, who was wanted for multiple crimes (including Burglary and Identity Theft). Additionally,

Byron was also wanted for a felony warrant.

On 10-27-2017, Byron who was out on bail was sentenced to 180 days jail time for previous PC

530.5 convictions and given a remand date of 11-25-2017. On 11-22-2017, Byron petitioned the

court for a stay and her remand date was changed from 11-25-2017 to 1-04-2018, so she

remained out on bail.

On 11-19-17, a Camarillo resident's vehicle was burglarized and the victim's stolen credit card

was used at several Camarillo businesses. On 11-28-17, Camarillo Detectives received video

from the businesses and Byron who was well known to Camarillo Law Enforcement, was

identified as the suspect in the video.

Camarillo Detectives conducted a probation search at Byron's residence in the 600 Block of

Cartagena Street. As a result of the search, detectives found stolen property from at least ten

(10) vehicle burglaries, and one (1) residential burglary. The crimes occurred between 11-11-17

and 11-28-17. Detectives also located illegal drugs, prohibited weapons, and burglary tools.

Detectives were able to return much of the recovered stolen property back to the victims.

On 12-13-17, Detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED) located Byron at a

residence in the 3900 Block of Dean Drive, in the City of Ventura. She attempted to lie to

detectives by providing a false name. Byron was arrested and booked into the Ventura County

Main Jail, on various charges related to the thefts and an outstanding felony warrant. Byron is

being held in lieu of $300,000 bail.
