On Feb, 7th, 2018, the Ventura County Sheriff's West County Street Narcotic Team, with the assistance of the Ventura County Sheriff's Gang Unit concluded a two month investigation into the narcotic trafficking activities of Angel Aguilar.


Detectives detained and arrested Aguilar after he left his residence in Oxnard. Aguilar was found to have a loaded hand gun on his person and an ounce of heroin, along with paraphernalia indicative of narcotic sales in his vehicle. Detectives then executed a signed search warrant at his residence where an additional two plus pounds of methamphetamine was seized. Additionally, an AR 15 assault rifle, another hand gun, and two shot guns were also seized from the residence.  Aguilar is a gang member, currently on parole, and a convicted felon who is prohibited from owning or possessing any type of firearm.


Aguilar is currently in custody at the Ventura County Sheriff's Pre-Trial Detention Facility on numerous narcotic and weapon violations. His bail is set at $500,000 and his next court appearance is scheduled for 03/09/2018 at 1:30 PM in Courtroom 12.


The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, the Oxnard Police Department and the Port Hueneme Police Department.
