Thousand Oaks Residential Burglar Arrested, Stolen Property Recovered in Los Angeles

On March 8, 2011, thieves forced entry into a Newbury Park residence while the homeowners were away. They ransacked the victims' home, taking jewelry, electronic equipment and clothing. Over the next few months, detectives conducted a lengthy investigation that led to the identification of a suspect named Ivy Allen.

On June 2, 2011, detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department served a search warrant during a joint operation in the 1700 block of East Imperial Highway in Los Angeles. Evidence related to the Newbury Park burglary was located. Ivy Allen was arrested for possession of stolen property at her home and booked with felony charges into the Ventura County Main Jail.
