Narrative:

The County of Ventura Road Maintenance Division and Sheriff's Office located at the Lockwood Valley Facility (15031 Lockwood Valley Road) are happy to inform residents of Northern Ventura County about two exciting programs.

If you're a Northern Ventura County resident, you know the drive to visit a medical professional can take up half of your day.  Why drive to Bakersfield or Santa Clarita when a medical professional can be as close as your local Road Maintenance / Sheriff's Facility'  Yes that's right.   The Ventura County Health Care Agency Mobile Medical Clinic visits Lockwood Valley on a monthly basis to provide routine and preventive medical care to our county residents and patients in the area.  The Mobile Medical Clinic provides blood pressure checks, body mass index, weight/height/glucose screening, hemoglobin screening, vision screening, diabetes management and more.  Stop by and visit on the third Monday of the month, pending inclement weather or holidays, between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  The Mobile Medical Clinic parks outside the facility gate, making easy access for visiting residents. For more information regarding the services provided by the Mobile Medical Clinic please call 805-240-7053.

As an added benefit, the County of Ventura is not only concerned about its residents, but is also concerned about the environment. The County recently delivered a recycle bin to the Northern County area, near the Road / Sheriff's Facility.  So, if you're as concerned about the environment as the County of Ventura is, there is now a large white bin located on the left side of the road prior to reaching the Road / Sheriff's Facility, which accepts the following recyclables: Plastic, Aluminum and Tin, Cardboard, and Mixed Paper.  This container is for recyclables only; you must dispose of your everyday trash as normal.  Recycling for Northern Ventura County Residents has never been so easy.  Make your pledge to a Greener Earth today by using the new recycle bin located at 15031 Lockwood Valley Road.

This is also a great opportunity to stop by and meet with Road Maintenance and Sheriff's personnel.   Stay Healthy and Go Green for your New Year's Resolution.
