On April 21, 2013, a subject entered the Starr Market, pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded money.  The employee gave money to the suspect and was not injured.  The suspect fled and the employee called the police.  After a thorough search for the suspect, involving a police K-9, the suspect was unable to be located.


At about 9:30 p.m. on April 21, 2013, the Ojai Police Department received a call of a robbery that had just occurred in the 130 block of West Ojai Avenue.  Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who stated they had just begun closing the business for the evening when a subject approached them from inside the business.  The subject demanded money and pointed a handgun at the victim.  The victim led the suspect to the business safe where the suspect took money and fled the area prior to deputies arrival.


The victim described the suspect as a male, 6'01', 180 to 200 lbs, wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants.
