On 9/18/2013, Detectives with the Simi Valley Police and Ventura County Sheriff's Narcotics Units concluded a narcotics investigation of a 34 year old Simi Valley resident, Daniel Henderson, who was suspected of selling heroin to residents in the East County cities of Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks.


Detectives detained Henderson after he was seen leaving a shopping center in Thousand Oaks. After being detained, a team of detectives searched Henderson's residence located on the 2000 block of Covington Avenue in Simi Valley. During the search, detectives located over 140 grams of heroin, 100 grams of marijuana, an unregistered assault handgun which included a sound suppressor and high capacity magazine. Additionally, detectives located and seized several thousand dollars that they determined to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.   


Henderson was arrested for Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Large Capacity Magazine, and Possession of a Silencer. Henderson is currently on State Parole so he was also booked for a Parole violation. He was booked at the East Valley Jail in Thousand Oaks pending arraignment or the posting of bail. Henderson is scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2013, at 1:30 PM. His bail was set at $1,000.000.00.
