On 10-26-13, Camarillo Sheriff's Deputies arrested two suspects who were found in possession of stolen property, including a handgun and ammunition recently stolen from a residence in Camarillo.  Additionally, several of the stolen items recovered were personal electronics taken overnight from several unlocked parked vehicles in the neighborhood.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office, along with the Camarillo Police Department, would like to continue to remind residents of the importance of locking their vehicles and removing all valuables, such as computers, cell phones, GPS devices and any other electronic equipment.  Hundreds of thefts from vehicles could be prevented each year in Camarillo if residents would lock their vehicles and remove their valuables.  It is also important to report suspicious activity, especially during the hours of darkness.  Law enforcement relies on the communities' involvement to assist them in deterring and preventing crime.
