On October 31st, 2013 at approximately 6:36 in the evening, deputies from the Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau responded to an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian on Lesser Drive east of Cayo Grande Court.

The investigation revealed that a female juvenile out trick or treating for Halloween was crossing Lesser Drive from the north side to the south side.  As the juvenile was crossing the street, Christie Idol was driving her suburban eastbound on Lesser Drive in the same area.  The front of Idol's suburban collided with the female juvenile knocking her to the ground.  The injured juvenile was treated at the scene and then transported via ambulance to Los Robles Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The Thousand Oaks Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind the community that especially on Halloween night drivers and parents need to exercise caution in and around residential neighborhoods due to the increased number of pedestrians walking around and crossing the street during hours of darkness.
