Camarillo Police, in conjunction with the Camarillo Health Care District, are offering free classes to educate the public about scams and how to avoid them, especially during the holiday season.  The public will learn about the different scams currently being used by scam artists.  Scams like, "The Lottery Scam," "The Grandparent Scam," and "Overpayment Scams."  These scams affect millions of people on a daily basis. Although everyone is susceptible, most of these scams are targeting senior citizens.  Participants will learn the top ten ways to avoid these scams.  This class could save people thousands of dollars.  

Two classes will be offered:  November 5, 2013, from 11-12 pm

                                              December 11, 2013, from 2-3 pm
