The Thousand Oaks Police Department and East County Investigations Bureau are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in the City of Thousand Oaks. At approximately 2:30 PM, Thousand Oaks patrol deputies responded to a call in the 400 block of Shenandoah Street. Upon their arrival, they learned that a Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, rang the doorbell to the elderly victim's residence. When the victim opened the door, the suspect forced his way into the residence and directed the victim to another location in the house. The suspect carried a handgun at his side.
The suspect stole property from the victim's residence before leaving. No suspect vehicle was seen. The victim was not physically injured during the crime. Anybody with information regarding this crime is urged to call Detective Mike McConville at (805) 494-8219.
