Today, at approximately 1:18 pm, a Mercedes sedan was driven through the front window of Ameci Pizza in Newbury Park.  For unknown reasons, as the vehicle was being driven into a parking space, it drove over the curb. The vehicle continued over the sidewalk, colliding with a table and umbrella.   The vehicle crashed through the window and came to rest inside of the business.  Although there was extensive damage to the vehicle and property, no one inside the business was hit, and the only injuries were to the driver, Marie LaMonica, 75 yrs.  She was transported to Los Robles Hospital for treatment.  At this time, her injuries are unknown.  The collision is under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department's Traffic Bureau, and anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call 805.494.8271.
