Simi Valley - Pair Arrested for Narcotics Violations

Detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff and Simi Valley Police Narcotics Unit concluded a five month narcotics investigation with the service of search warrants resulting in two arrests. During the investigation, detectives observed narcotic transactions conducted by Marlen Reyna Reyes while at the Mi Durangito Bar in the city of Simi Valley. Reyes is an employee of the establishment and these transactions were conducted in and around the establishment while she was working.
On 3/27/2014, Narcotic detectives served search warrants at the Mi Durangito Bar and Reyes' residence in Northridge. Assisting the detectives were investigators with the Simi Valley Police Special Enforcement Section, Alcoholic Beverage Control and the Thousand Oaks Police Bike Team.
A small amount of cocaine was located at the bar and Reyes' residence. Additionally, Alcoholic Beverage Control Investigators discovered evidence that the owner of the bar, Salvador Villasenor, was operating his business outside the scope of his liquor license. Villasenor was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Reyes was arrested for sales of a controlled substance and Villasenor was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Villasenor was additionally cited by ABC Investigators for numerous beverage control violations. Reyes and Villasenor were both booked at the Main Jail in Ventura. Reyes is due to appear in court on 4/1/2014 and her bail is set at $55,000.00. Villasenor was cited and released from jail and he is due to appear in court on 6/11/2014.
