Narrative:

On Tuesday, 4-13-14, the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED) conducted an enforcement stop on a male subject who matched the description of a Ventura County probationer.  The subject was not the probationer he was thought to be, but was identified as Fernando Salinas.  Salinas is also on Ventura County probation.

During the initial contact Salinas was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a smoking device.  A search of Salinas' property revealed several pieces of stolen property including checks, prescriptions for medication, electronics, and fraudulent identification cards.  These items were traced back to several recent vehicle burglaries.  Salinas was also in possession of vehicle burglary tools.

Salinas was also charged with possession of forged credit cards, forgery, identity theft, possession of stolen property, possession of fraudulent government documents, and possession of burglary tools.  Salinas was booked into the Ventura County Pre-trial Detention Facility.  His bail was set at $20,000.  Salinas remains in custody in lieu of $20,000 bail.
