Narrative:

On 06/06/14, Camarillo deputies arrested two subjects for an attempted 'hot prowl' residential burglary.

At approximately 1:45 PM, an adult male (victim), residing at a residence in the 1600 block of Riente St., heard his doorbell ring.  He looked outside and saw a male subject at his door, but he did not answer it.  The subject then went to an awaiting car and drove away from the residence.

Approximately twenty minutes later, the suspect returned and began pounding on the backdoor of the residence.  The suspect then used a crowbar in an attempt to force entry into the home.  The victim startled the suspect by yelling at him.  The suspect fled the residence by jumping a fence and entering a gold colored Cadillac where a second suspect was waiting in the driver's seat.  The suspect vehicle was last seen driving away from the location towards Los Angeles Avenue.  The victim was able to get part of the suspect vehicle license plate number.

The victim notified law enforcement and Camarillo patrol deputies, detectives and members of the SED unit converged on the scene.  SED deputies saw the suspect vehicle eastbound on Los Angeles Avenue driving towards the city of Moorpark and conducted a traffic enforcement stop.

The victim was brought to the scene of the traffic stop and positively identified both subjects.  Further investigation revealed evidence in the suspect vehicle consistent with the investigation at the victim's residence.

Subsequently, both Fajardo and Butler were arrested for Penal Code section 664/459, attempted residential burglary.  Both suspects remain in custody at the Pre-trail Detention Facility.  Fajardo's bail was set at $60,000 while Butler's bail was $80,000.
