JANUARY 4, 2007:

On Saturday, December 30, 2006, Sheriff’s Deputies were patrolling in the area of Pacific Coast Highway near Mugu Rock when they encountered two subjects in a parked vehicle.  The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Stephen Ridley, 33, of Beverly Hills, for engaging in illegal sexual acts with a juvenile. Mr. Ridley is employed by several Ventura County and Los Angeles County school band programs as a part time tutor, and met his victim through his employment as a tutor at a school in the Ventura Unified School District.  Sheriff’s Major Crimes detectives have continued the investigation and have worked with school officials to determine if any other victims exist, and to determine the extent of the illegal acts with the known victim.
